We aim to provide parents with information and tools to make informed and safe choices for themselves and their family.

This disclaimer is to provide a description of the products and services provided by After the Stork with Nurse Kate and the legal responsibilities of the infant's’ primary caregivers. All information given to clients, whether it be verbal, written, hands on, or video-based, is advice only and the accuracy of any and all information provided cannot be guaranteed. All information acts as a guideline or suggestion based on Nurse Kate’s trained experience and knowledge as a Newborn Care Consultant; providing newborn and maternity care information and guidance that serves as a means for parents to make more educated and informed parent choices and practice independently with confidence.

 

After the Stork with Nurse Kate guarantees neither the accuracy nor completeness of advice given to their clients and we encourage our clients to not rely solely on the information provided on the website or other social media forums associated with After the Stork with Nurse Kate, but to also compare and consider other means of current infant and maternity care research available by other reliable resources (i.e. online, books etc.), as well as their primary health care provider or other medical health care professionals (i.e. Lactation consultants, in hospital Registered Nurses) to make informed choices that best meet their infant(s) and family needs.

 

Although Nurse Kate is a Registered Maternity Nurse, she operates as a Newborn Care Consultant, not a treating health care professional. After the Stork with Nurse Kate is not providing or replacing any medical information received by a client’s Primary Health Care Provider and other medical professionals. After the Stork with Nurse Kate will make every effort to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their clients and make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information being provided via this website or other related social media forums; however, any decision or action regarding the health and wellbeing of a client or their infant(s) is the sole responsibility of the client, who acts as the primary caregiver and decision maker of the infant(s) and themselves.

 

If at any time a client or potential client has any specific questions about any medical issues or advice, they should consult with their primary physician or other medical professionals as soon as possible.

 

If the client or potential client believes their infant or themselves may be suffering from any medical or life-threatening condition, it is their responsibility to seek immediate medical attention, not the responsibility of After the Stork with Nurse Kate. The client should never delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice given, or discontinue medical treatment because of information provided by After the Stork with Nurse Kate.

We are also extremely sensitive to family concerns about children's safety and information related to them. This privacy statement explains the type of information that will be requested of you, and how we keep this information secure. It is encouraged that any testimonials submitted by clients regarding After the Stork with Nurse Kate, be written using their first name or initials only. Clients can also choose to keep their names completely anonymous or use an alias, as testimonials may be used online. This Privacy Statement refers our clients and those using our Website and other Social Media Forums associated with After the Stork with Nurse Kate, such as Blogs, YouTube videos, Instagram, Facebook, Bulletin Boards, or other Public Mediums where free form entry is permitted. Verbal or preferably written consent will be obtained prior to gaining access to photos or educational videos before online use for public access.

 

SECURITY, PURCHASES, AND PAYMENT METHODS

 

After the Stork with Nurse Kate intends to keep all information related to a clients method of payment and transaction any information as secure as possible. Purchases can be made via cheque, e-mail transfer, or PayPal with an invoice provided to clients. The online servers used for transactions may have their own technology to safeguard your personal information and privacy, of which we encourage our clients to ensure are safe means of payment.
